What is dental ozone?

In dentistry, ozone is applied locally using specialised equipment and may be considered as a complementary measure in some treatments. At Dentince, we first review your oral health and overall health history.

When might it be considered?

Complementary use may be considered in areas such as caries management, gum treatment and root canal treatment. Whether it is appropriate depends on the diagnosis, the purpose of the application and the patient’s condition.

Does it replace a filling or root canal treatment?

It does not restore missing tooth structure and is not an alternative to a necessary filling, root canal treatment or gum treatment. Where appropriate, it is planned as an addition to the primary treatment.

How is the process planned?

During the examination, we discuss potential benefits, limitations, alternatives and whether the application is needed. The number and duration of sessions vary between patients. Regular oral care and reviews remain part of the treatment plan.
